The IFA is the world show for consumer gadgets and there have been some mouth watering unveilings taking place in Berlin for IFA 2008. Although this year has been set to be dominated by the HDTV crowd as the technology has become mainstream, there are some other areas of interest such as audio and digital camera technology. This article provides objective coverage of the latest technological advances in the world of digital cameras.
Big news dominating the IFA is the buzz that Microsoft and Nikon have signed a patent cross-licensing agreement. This will help the development of current and future product lines by sharing technology to make products more compatible. The two giants have had a long standing relationship and this agreement will allow them innovate openly creating new features for customers. It is set to improve the Nikon range of digital cameras making them even more compatible with editing software.
Another leader in digital cameras is Samsung who have recently announced their new line of digital LCD photo frames. There are four different models just launched and will be available from September from 120-200 dollars, and if you are saying, that is one expensive photo frame then wait to hear some of the features.
They have a touch screen feature which allows you to browse photos, WiFi connectivity and Samsungs InfoLink fature which allows you to get over 400 channels of news, sports and financial info. They can also be used as a second monitor for your computer so they are not just to use with digital cameras.
If you need to print on the go then Canon has launched the ultimate companion to your latest digital camera. The Selphy printer Duo includes the ES3 and Es30 which are the latest models replacing the ES2 and ES20 respectively. They are the ultimate in portable printer practicalities with sport carrying handles and compact, sleek design. Other improved features are the LCD screens and the new image effects which have been added to the print options.
As a companion to your protable printer Cannon have announced the launch of the digital camera EOS 50D DSLR which will not generally be compatible because if you spend this much on a camera you might be wanting better print quality than either of the Selphy Duo have to offer.
It comes in at around 1500GBP however you get what you pay for with 6.3 frames per second shooting speed in bursts of up to 90 jpegs, ISO levels of 3200 that are expandable to an ultra sensitive 12,800 and an improved self cleaning sensor unit, however the price tag pushes it toward the professional.

The Canon Power shot SD1100 IS provides an 8 mega pixel shot, which translates to a stunningly beautiful picture on even the most advanced monitors. Users who care about style will note the different metallic colors it comes in, and those who suffer from shaky hands (much like myself) will marvel at its ability to auto correct. Pictures that should not have any right turning out steady and even seem to with ease, and the camera is just as fast as the commercials portray it to be, leaving no time for people to develop funny faces.
The Basics
The 1100 IS isn’t what you might expect in a camera. Sleek styling and sound construction mean this camera fits in your pocket or purse with room to spare.
Don’t be fooled. The 1100 IS offers 8 megapixels, instead of the older 7.1, to give you the absolute best quality for a camera this size. This means, the pictures you take will turn out crisp, clear, and bright.
Navigation is intuitive using a toggle wheel. You will be an expert at it after a few uses. In addition easy presets make it a simple point and shoot.
If you want to take custom ISO photos, change detailed flash settings and shutter timings this camera may not be for you. If you want easy to use, fast to be ready point and shoot then this is the camera for teh job.
Ease of Use
Most people want to pick up their digital, aim, and shoot. Everything after that is icing on the cake. And with the 11OO IS, you can do just that.
Just a button press or two will get you where you need to be, and even those who aren’t familiar or comfortable using technology will be able to master this camera.
The buttons to navigate are all on the right side, so if you’re left handed, you’ll have a bit to get used to. But with the menu and selection buttons big enough for larger hands and easy to press, it doesn’t make it hard to adjust.
Long Term Quality and Durability
This isn’t the sort of camera that you’ll need to replace in a year, we were pleased to discover. The camera’s small design does not mean it is not durable and easy to hold.
Image Quality
You’ll get surprisingly good quality from this little camera, and the zoom (3x) gives you a decent bit of depth and clarity from such a small piece.
The face detection that’s built in improves the focus and exposure when taking pictures of people, as well as a white balance and flash output. What this means to those of you who didn’t follow is that you’re less likely to make your friends look sheet-white when using flash. Vibrant colors and great details, with fairly correct skin tones.
Overall
The bottom line on this camera is that for everyday, casual use, it’s great – and even amateurs who dapple in heavier things can appreciate the preset features and quality that you get.
While I will still recommend a serious SLR camera for those looking to become professional, this camera will help you improve your skill and capture great moments forever.

There are thousand of different models of the best digital cameras in the market today. It is important that you purchase one that will meet your needs.

Although the most expensive top of the line cameras deliver the highest quality picture, they also have instructions that could confuse a rocket scientist. It is recommended that when you purchase the best digital camera; choose one that is relatively easy to operate.

In years gone by, all you had to do to purchase the best digital camera was to look at a few models. Today, it is necessary to know the language of the digital world.

Resolution and mega pixels are two terms that you need to know. Resolution is the quality of the picture. When you are shopping, make sure to ask what the resolution is. The higher the number the better the picture.

Mega pixels are the millions of tiny dots that make up a picture. Again, it is recommended that you purchase a digital camera that has a high level of mega pixels because you will get a clearer and more detailed photo. If you do not have a high enough level of pixels, then your photos will be hazy and fuzzy.

Another term you should know before you purchase the best digital camera is zoom.

There are two types of zoom that you will find on the best digital camera. The first is optical. The optical zoom depicts photo magnification. The second type of zoom is called digital zoom. This means that the inner mechanisms of the camera define the size of an image. More people choose the optical zoom because the results are better.

You need to take into consideration how you will get your pictures from the camera to your computer. There are several methods available.

Smart media, CompactFlash are forms of memory sticks that are available. Each one comes in different sizes and can hold a specific number of pictures.

When you are shopping for the best digicam, there are many options available to you. It is recommended that you do a little research before making a purchase.

An automated camera is called a point and shoot. It is called this because you do not need to focus, turn on a flash or anything else; just point and shoot the picture.

Before shopping for the best digital camera, you should find a model that better fits your needs. There are six main types of digicams to consider. The Cannon Company makes the widest variety of point and shoot cameras. If you want a camera that has a large LCD screen, then the Sony company offers the largest model with that feature.

If you are new to photography, it is recommended that you seek out the digital cameras with easy to use options. Research the brands that you are considering by visiting their websites. This will not only inform you of the options you have, but you will also get a chance to see the cameras that are available.

If you are an amateur photographer, and know basically what a digicam can do, then a digital camera with options such as freezing, stop and depth control may be right for you. These options allow you to explore different techniques of photography.

If you have advanced skills in photography and are comfortable with a digicam and its basic features, then consider a camera that has more advanced features that will allow to be more creative and assist you in developing your own style.

A DSLR is basically a digital camera that is a point and shoot. This type of camera comes with a full array of features that are easy to use. It has advance speed, and flexibility and also the best image quality.

The most expensive camera on the market today is the professional digital camera. It allows the user free range of motion and the features cannot be found in any other camera. If this is the type of camera that you are looking for, it is highly recommended that you research the different types of professional cameras on the market today.

Summary:

With all the choices there are in cameras today, it is important that you know the basic differences amongst the best digital cameras. It is not just the price you need to know, it is the details of the camera that your decision should be based on.

POV: Point of View Shot This means shooting the action from the point of view of the subject itself. One of the most memorable POV shots I have ever seen is during the film The Patriot when the cannon ball comes right at the camera and then cuts to a soldier being hit by that same cannon ball. It ignites interest and instantly forces the audience to become part of the action. Utilize POV shots when there is a lot of shots of the same action.

Rack Focus: Changing the focus between a close subject and a distant subject. These are cool because it puts the camera man in direct control of the audience. By switching the camera focus manually between subjects distant and close allows you to include two totally distinct subjects without cutting or moving the camera. The audience is forced to follow the focus since anything blurred cannot be easily interpreted. It adds a professional look to any video.

Crooked Angle: Turn the camera to the side so that the ground is no longer parallel with the square of the viewfinder. I am consistently amazed at how interesting these shots can be. I do not recommend a lot of movement during such a shot unless you wish to see the audience get sick and vomit on your leather couches. Very slight movement at crooked angles is an easy way to create interest and cast your subjects in a new light.

Track Shot: Moving the camera in a definite path I recently watched new music video where the camera zipped around the band on a carefully built track. The band didn’t do much other than simply perform but the speed of the camera flying around and cutting between the shots kept me interested during the entire song. This effect can easily be imitated by putting the camera on a wheelchair, skateboard, or even in your hand as long as it keeps a steady path.

I was just talking to a friend who just got a great deal on a Cannon Safe. The store was going out of business and she couldn’t pass it up. She knew she needed a safe to protect her valuables and important documents, but had been putting it off until she had more time (like that will happen!). So she called and asked me what she should put in her safe. Normally, I would say that is one of many questions that should be asked BEFORE buying a safe. But … lets just take a general look at possible things that she could store in her new Cannon safe. There are three main categories of things that should go in a safe: documents, valuables and (new in the modern era) digital media. So lets take a look at each of these areas and see what we may recommend for my friend to protect in her Cannon safe. When it comes to documents, it seems fairly obvious: birth and marriage certificates, passports, social security cards, wills and living trusts, credit cards (or a list of all cards and account numbers, credit limits and customer service phone numbers to each company), automobile titles, mortgage papers, business and investment papers, tax returns, insurance documents (after all, if your home is destroyed in a fire, this is information you will want protected!), family photos etc. I am sure the list goes on, but you know what is important to you and your family (perhaps genealogy records), and those documents should be stored in your safe. For our family that would also include important religious documents, such as records of baby blessings and baptisms.Anything of value should also be kept in a safe. This can include cash, jewelry, family heirlooms (whether it has monetary value or not, somethings you have to keep safe because of sentimental value), and collectibles (my son collects coins, a collection he has worked hard to accumulate and has a bit of value).Digital media is a new consideration of safe manufacturers and consumers, especially in the last 20 years. It may be hard to keep all of your family photos in your safe, but it is not so difficult for my friend to have her digital photos backed up and placed in her Cannon safe. The same can be said of a lot of important documents. Some you need to have the actual hard copy, other information you can store digitally. For the last 10 years, all of my banking information is kept on my computer, I have no hard copy of my check books or statements. A back up of this type of information can easily be stored on an external hard drive, flash drive or memory stick and placed in a safe. Just remember to regularly update the digital media that is stored away for safe keeping. Sometimes this is very helpful to have, not only to protect against damage and burglary, but in case of a computer crash. Other forms of digital media could include important CD’s or DVD’s, family movies and films, perhaps actual cameras and video equipment, GPS systems, MP3 players and cell phones (depending on how handy it is to access your safe!).So, my recommendation of what she should put in her Cannon safe, is the things most important to her, things that she would be most upset to lose in a fire, flood or burglary.

Canon has always been associated with some great futuristic technology in camera. In 2005 they had announced a new DSLR category when they had introduced their EOS 5 D model. This model was compact and had a full frame sensor. However, with the introduction of new cameras from Sony and Nikon, Canon has introduced an upgraded model namely the Canon EOS Mark II.

The Cannon EOS 5 D Mark II has scored an edge over its predecessors in resolution and many other features. This camera is way ahead of Nikon and Sony in terms of resolution and features. The Canon EOS 5 D Mark II has some great features like 21 mega-pixels, 1080p video, 3.0 VGA LCD, Live View, higher capacity battery and lots more.

The Cannon EOS 5 D Mark II Camera has anti dust features which means you don’t have to worry about the dust clouding your lenses. It has a DIGIC 4 processor with 14-bit analogue to digital conversion capacity. The shooting rate has improved from 3 fps in its predecessors to an astonishing 3.9 fps.

We all know that Canon cameras give you great quality still pictures, but did you know that the Canon EOS 5 D Mark II is the first DSLR by Canon with high definition (HD) recording feature of 1920 X 1080 pixels (1080 p) at a speed of 30fps? This still camera boosts of the best quality video recording in full HD. The LCD screen has now increased to 3 inch and a resolution of 920 k dot/VGA. You can even connect your camera to HDTV with the HDMI port provided and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The viewfinder of Canon EOS 5 D Mark II boosts of a coverage of 98% and the shutter speed is 150k cycles and 6 AF assist points with 9-point AF system. The Canon EOS 5 D camera is one of the best cameras today for all the photographers whether amateur or professional.

Nikon 3 DX review

Nikon D3 X camera boosts of a high resolution and comes equipped with a full frame sensor. Nikon has been a revered name in photojournalism and sports photography and has now digressed to making high quality image field cameras. The Nikon D3X has a resolution to suit the requirements photographers in the world of art, advertising and fashion.

The Nikon D3X has a reduced burst speed of five frames per second than its predecessor which boasts of a speed of nine frames per second which is primarily due to the high resolution images and increased number of pixels.

The body of D3X is similar to its predecessor D3 and is made of magnesium and has weather proof controls which make the camera ideal for photojournalists and landscape photographers who need to brave the elements for their assignments.

Since this camera has been made primarily keeping landscape photographers in mind it has a great Live View and an auto focus system which can be adjusted and used while the camera is on the tripod stand. The Live View mode also has the virtual horizon display which prevents scary tilts.

A professional studio photographer will find this camera a great help since it can transfer large image files to the computer amidst photo shoots through wireless or cable links.

Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory which later became famous by the name of Canon was established in the year 1933 in Japan by three entrepreneurs. In present day world Cannon is one of the most reputed electronics company and it has excellent reviews as well. Canon digital camera – The best cannon digital camera reviews have made everyone to buy this Canon Digital Camera and professionals find it as their first choice.”Kwanon” was the first prototype phantom camera launched in the market by Canon. It was not up to the same level of the contemporary German cameras, but it was good enough to give a steady competition. To meet the expectation of the customers and fulfill the wants of the buyers, Canon launched its 35 mm rangefinder cameras. Those 35 mm cameras were less costly than the “Kwanon” range. They became popular in the continents of Asia, Europe and America. Though the Canon Digital Camera is the first choice with all good qualities in the recent days, still it had some drawbacks in the beginning. Canon does not manufacture the lenses for its cameras. The company has a tie up with Nippon Kogaku Kogyo, which served to be one of the leading camera manufacturer and exporter in Japan. Hansa Canon was the first camera sold by Canon in 1936 which became popular instantly in the market. These cameras increased the goodwill of Canon digital camera in the western market. After the historical Second World War, Canon started expanding there business. The company became a leader in roll cameras by the 60s.

I love photography and bought myself a Canon EOS XSi (450D) last year from amazon.fr. How I wished I had waited as Canon are on the brink of launching their brand new successor to it, the Canon EOS T1i (500D), which is out very soon (early May 2009).

The XSi is a fantastic camera for the price and really builds the bridge between amateur photographer and professional photographer well. I didn’t think they could improve on it to be honest.

But they have. Oh, how well they have.

The EOS T1i delivers so much for its price. Canon have incorporated many features found in the EOS 5d Mk II (which typically costs well over $2500) and packed it into the body of the T1i. And guess what? The dimensions are exactly the same as the XSi before it (save the weight being 5g heavier).

So what does the T1i have over the XSi?

The T1i has 15.1 mega pixels (compared to just 12.2).

More advanced DIGIC 4 processor (compared with the DIGIC III on the XSi).

The ISO range is expandable to 12,800 compared with just 1600.

Video shooting mode – you can use it as a video camera, shooting up to 12 minutes (or 4gb) of full HD video!

HDMI connection for viewing and playback on HDTV.

One really unique feature that interests me greatly is that the T1i has a great feature for beginners – the auto creative zone. When set to one of these zones, the camera will guide you as to what settings to use via the LCD. Basically, the auto creative mode is like having a teacher built in! I am tempted to trade in my old XSi and buy the T1i just for this feature alone!

Many of the other standard features of Canon cameras are still there, like live view, self cleaner sensors, dust delete and so on and storage is on SD or SDHC cards.

Summary:

I am looking forward to the release of this camera in early May and will have to talk my wife into allowing me to upgrade from my existing XSi. This really looks like a cracking camera.

It looks like Canon has again made a great leap and incorporated so many new technologies into such a small body and low price. I can’t think of what they will do next, although wi-fi transfers and printing would be good. Need a fast connection as the highest quality RAW images are going to be well in excess of 20mb.

As I said above, the XSi looked to have bridged the gap between amateur and professional, but the T1i seems to beat that by including a built in tutor! There is nothing worse than being out on the field after reading something, but when you need that info, you have forgotten. The T1i will prompt you with it’s auto creative mode. I would love my XSi to be able to do that.

Perhaps they will also incorporate a mobile phone into the camera as well! Who knows, stranger things have happened!

http://www.google.com

While I will still recommend a serious SLR camera for those looking to become professional, this camera will help you improve your skill and capture great moments forever.

http://www.google.com

If you are intending to do any kind of pay per click advertising on the internet, you will probably mainly deal with the “Big 3″ search engines – Google, Yahoo and Microsoft (MSN). All 3 have fairly similar business models and all work in roughly the same manner. There are however some differences the user should be aware of. One example is how keyword match types have certain differences from Search Network to Search Network.

As a search engine advertiser, it’s vitally important for you to know exactly when your ad is going to be displayed. The match type determines whether your ad will be displayed to the user on the basis of how the search query matches your keyword.

As an example, lets say you are promoting a website dealing with digital photography, and one of your key words is “Canon digital camera”

EXACT MATCH

Google:

Exact match in Google will only match the EXACT text and nothing else. Any words before, after, in between or the phrase with words re-arranged will not count. It will only match if “Canon digital camera” is typed in as a search query. “Canon digital cameras” or “Buy Canon digital camera” will not trigger an exact match.

MSN:

Almost identical to Google, but they ignore words like a, an, the etc. Which means that “a Canon digital camera” is considered the same as “Canon digital camera”, and is therefore an exact match

Yahoo:

Yahoo have what they term as Standard Match. It not only matches the exact phrase but also includes singular/plural, common misspellings and alternative spellings. The following would all trigger Standard match in Yahoo:

“Canon digital camera”

“Canon digital cameras”

“Cannon digital camera”

PHRASE MATCH

Google:

The ad will be triggered in phrase match any time there is a search query that includes your keywords using the same word order. This means that the phrase “Canon digital camera” must appear somewhere in the user’s query. The search can include words before or after your keyword, but not between them. For example

“buy Canon digital camera”

“Canon digital camera on sale”

will both trigger the keyword as a phrase match.

MSN:

The same as Google

Yahoo:

No phrase option is offered with Yahoo search marketing.

BROAD MATCH

Google:

The ad will be displayed any time somebody types in a search query that includes the keywords, regardless of the actual word order. This means there could be additional words in front of, behind, or even in between your original keyword phrase.

There is also some light synonym matching. For example, the following might all trigger the keyphrase “Canon digital camera” on Broad match:

“Used Canon Camera”

“Compare digital camera Nikon and Canon”

“Canon Powershot SD750″

MSN:

Very similar to Google will but will only trigger a search query that includes all of the words. There is also some light synonym matching. Generally not as broad as Google.

Yahoo:

In yahoo it is known as Advanced match and will be triggered by any query that contains all of the words, plus singular/plural, misspellings and synonyms.

It is important to note that in all the search marketing systems, Broad and Advanced are the DEFAULT type of search matches. So be careful as they may not be specific enough to target the market you are trying to reach.

NEGATIVE MATCH

Google:

These are words that block unwanted searches that you believe may not be relevant to what you are offering. For example, if your ad deals with only new cameras you might want to exclude buyers who are looking for used cameras from clicking. So if you include “second hand” as a negative, if a person types in “second hand Canon camera” your ad would not show up.

MSN:

The same as Google

Yahoo:

Known as Excluded Match, is very similar to Google and MSN but singulars and plurals are considered equivalent. For example, if you wanted to exclude people searching for camera lenses, you could put “lens” as an excluded word and the query “Canon digital camera lenses” would not trigger your ad.

Match types play an important role in determining which ads will be displayed for the specific selected keywords. When setting up an ad campaign, try to envision how each match type will affect your keywords. You also need to anticipate keyword variations that may result in unwanted visitors clicking on your ad so that you can filter out non-profitable traffic.

http://www.google.com
